Relocation, relocation, relocation!
When we decided to move, David and I kind of knew what practical steps we had to take, but we had no clue how to do this in a way that would move our family forward without creating chaos and stress. BUT...again... God in HIS foresight provided for us in a miraculous way...
Somehow, while in England, we got introduced to a lovely Christian couple. The wife, Kathleen, had been working for years as a relocation Mentor, serving the top companies in London who were relocating staff with families. To make a long story short – she offered to be our Relocation Mentor. David and my jaw dropped in awe and astonishment after we both had had our first individual meeting with her because we realised we didn't just have any relocation mentor, we probably had the best in the world!
Kathleen wrote the book 'Parents on the Move - preparing your family for a successful and creative relocation'.
Kathleen's spiritual and practical insights as well as her genuine love for our family have been totally incredible, and since she has been mentoring us over skype we have learnt SO much about moving countries God's way. This woman has been especially God sent for me, as her expertise has and will help me to set up a stable home in Hungary – a secure base for David and the children. A home of rest & refreshment and a practical base from which we can operate and fulfil the ministry God has called us to, whilst at the same time making sure our children have everything they need.
Never in my wildest dreams had I ever thought I would have the privilege of having my very own relocation mentor (to be honest - I didn’t even know what that was at first). But again, God knew EXACTLY what we needed to make this relocation successful and strategically placed the people into our lives who so generously encouraged and blessed us.
I strongly believe that we as the body of Christ can only make a difference when we generously give to each other and fearlessly pour out what God gives us into this world! In order to grow and fulfil our calling and purpose to equip the church and rescue the lost, we desperately need each other to cover our weaknesses, encourage, support and love one another. Then one step at the time, God’s kingdom can and will come on earth as it is in heaven! (Matthew 6:10)
